In June 2012, I will be taking part in a solo, non-stop, unassisted race to Hawaii aboard my Wilderness 30 named Domino. The Singlehanded Transpac has been described by some as a "A bug light for weirdos". Follow me and my fellow “bug light weirdos” as we prepare our boats and ourselves for the downwind run to Hawaii.

Back From The Road…Now Out To Sea

Being gone for almost three weeks seems like a LONG time these days. With 100 days left until the start of the SHTP 2010 my lists are small but they are still lists that need to get done. My plan is to install a few more things on Blue Moon in the next couple days and then start focusing in on finding a weather window to get my Qualifying sail done. The qualifying sail consists of heading 200 miles offshore and then 200 miles back; 400 miles total**Non-stop & Solo! I am really looking forward to the trip as it will give me a nice shake down of the boat and provide me enough time afterwards to fine tune anything that needs tuning. More updates to come….
