In June 2012, I will be taking part in a solo, non-stop, unassisted race to Hawaii aboard my Wilderness 30 named Domino. The Singlehanded Transpac has been described by some as a "A bug light for weirdos". Follow me and my fellow “bug light weirdos” as we prepare our boats and ourselves for the downwind run to Hawaii.

And they’re off! SHTP began yesterday 06/19/10

Blue Moon got off to a fantastic start yesterday from Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon, CA! The gun sounded at 11:30am ish for Blue Moon’s division and the racers tore through the Bay’s waters (some in record time!) out of the Gate (translation: under the Golden Gate Bridge). Adam and Blue Moon were out the gate in two tacks and about 30 min. It was blowing in the mid 20s to 30s. Photos from the Singlehanded Transpac (from now on to be referred to as ‘SHTP’)are being uploaded to the flickr site asap.
